Our Approach
Across the term, children and educators engage in explicit, playful phonological awareness learning:
-
Children participate in carefully sequenced sessions targeting key phonological awareness skills essential for later literacy success
-
Educators observe modelling, language, and routines that are practical, efficient, and easily replicated within existing play-based programs.
-
Learning is cumulative, with skills revisited and strengthened across the term.
Narrative and language
-
Carefully chosen stories that build vocabulary, oral language, print awareness, and fundamental reading and writing behaviours.
-
Children are supported to create and map their own stories as a group, strengthening sequencing, expressive language, confidence, and collaborative storytelling skills. A program highlight.
-
Children design their own story stones—hand-drawn symbols representing characters or events—which become take-home tools to support storytelling at home.
Professional learning workshops
